TLT's Community

Sept 16 Photo
As a relatively small school, with approximately 300 students, The Learning Tree has the feel of a close-knit family. We offer our students individual attention in a nurturing, constructive and safe environment.

We work cooperatively with our community to educate our students and instill morals.

We encourage our parents and extended family to become involved in The Learning Tree, to help us continue our tradition of providing a quality education.

Back to School Family Cookout

Sponsored by TLT's Parent Council

At the beginning of each school year The Learning Tree hosts an afternoon to welcome new families to our community.

In 2018, the Parent Council proposed the idea

to have the event at a park in New Rochelle.

The day included games and a cookout.  All attendees had a wonderful time.

Autumn Family Dance

Our families look forward to our annual Autumn Family Dance. The dance is theme-based, where attendees have the option to dress up.

Past themes have been: the 80's, the 70's and Hip Hop, to name a few.

Giving Tuesday - A Global Day of Giving

The Tuesday after Thanksgiving, there's a fundraiser on Facebook.  There's a chance that FB and the other sponsoring company may match all funds raised, until they reach their determined maximum.

Kwanzaa Fair

As a community, we come together to celebrate our African culture, through music, food, and art.

Our fair attracts vendors with unique items, perfect for the gift-giving season.

Kwanzaa honors African heritage in African American culture and is observed December 26 - January 1, every year.
